Dr. Dzenana Idrizovic, Clinic Director

Eye doctor, Ocular Disease Specialist, Clinical Preceptor for New England College of Optometry

Dr. Idrizovic also known as Dr. I is our Eye Clinic Director. She specializes in Ocular Disease and is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Dr. I has earned her undergraduate degree at Bates College in Lewiston, ME and completed her Doctorate Degree in Optometry from New England College of Optometry. Dr. I’s medical education is complemented by a residency training in ocular disease in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Manchester, NH VA hospital.

Dr. I has over 18 years of medical and optical experience at hospitals and optical facilities serving a large variety of patients and medical cases.  Dr. I’s experience include specific focus on patients with ocular diseases, irregular cornea treatments using medically necessary rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, comprehensive eye exams for kids and adults, regular and specialty contact lenses, dry eye treatment, red/pink eye management, computer syndrome, glaucoma treatments, cataract screening, among other eye care services. She serves as a referral provider for prominent ophthalmology practices for patients with keratoconus irregular corneas and post refractive surgery cases. Dr. I is a clinical instructor for Optometry students at New England School of Optometry.

She has extensive experience in specialty contact fittings including keratoconic, irregular corneas, and post refractive surgery cases. Dr. I is a clinical instructor for Optometry students at New England School of Optometry.

Dr. Enian Kallamata

Dr. Kallamata holds a Master’s in Vision Science and a doctorate degree from New England College of Optometry. In addition to his clinical experience at private practices, he completed rotations at BMC, the VA hospital, and other health and community centers. 

Dr. Kallamata provides detailed comprehensive and medical eye exams and is also certified for MiSight myopia control. His areas of specific interest include a wide variety of anterior and posterior conditions including dry eye, corneal dystrophies, uveitis, as well as various retinal pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration among others. He enjoys incorporating different imaging techniques to provide the best care for his patients.   

Dr. Kallamata strives to provide patients of any age with the highest standards of eye care and is known to be thorough, compassionate, and easygoing. His clinical and diversified experience allows him to personalize the eye care he gives to his patients so that their eye health needs are met in full. Dr. Kallamata is also fluent in Albanian.   

During his free time, he enjoys watching movies and cooking. His favorite dish is Byrek me Spinaq (Albanian spinach pie) and his favorite dessert is flan. He likes to read adventure and fantasy books and has read the entire Indiana Jones series of novels as well as The Lord of the Rings (twice!). His favorite book is the Fellowship of the Ring while his favorite movie is the Two Towers. He is a music lover and likes discovering new songs from different genres. As such, he welcomes all recommendations.

Dr. James Caruso, F.A.A.O.

Dr. Caruso received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from SUNY University at Buffalo and his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry. He completed a residency in Ocular Disease through the VA Boston Healthcare System at the Jamaica Plain campus. He then obtained his fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry and became board certified in Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry. 

Dr. Caruso has spent several years of clinical practice working in varying health centers, private clinics, and hospital-based clinics serving the greater Boston area. Dr. Caruso provides comprehensive optometric care, including comprehensive eye exams, with heavy emphasis on contact lens fittings to its diverse population.

During his free time, Dr. Caruso enjoys playing golf, skiing, and watching the Bruins!

Dr. Sean Dennis

Dr. Sean Dennis has a passion for Optometry because it gives him the opportunity to improve the visual needs of his patients and to build relationships with them. Dr. Dennis provides comprehensive optometric care with an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular conditions.

Originally from Gig Harbor, Washington, Dr. Dennis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from MCPHS University in Worcester,
Massachusetts, and currently is an ocular disease and primary care resident within the Boston VA Healthcare System. Hailing from the Evergreen State, Dr. Dennis loves outdoor adventures, but also enjoys relaxing at home watching football on Sundays
(yes, he is a Pats fan!). Dr. Dennis also enjoys traveling and exploring all that New England has to offer.

Dr. Dennis is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and licensed by the Massachusetts State Board of Optometry.

Dr. Alexis LeSoltis

Dr. Nguyet LeSoltis received her Doctorate of Optometry from the State University of New York Optometry. There she was involved in several projects in Sports Vision and Vision Therapy under Daniel Laby, M.D. She did her rotation with a specialization in ocular disease at the Veterans Association in Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, and Woodhull Medical Center. She had her rotation at SUNY Optometry and Ezra Medical Center with concentrations in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision.

Dr. LeSoltis obtained her undergraduate at Smith College in Statistics and Microbiology with a minor in biochemistry. She spent several years assisting in research in gastrointestinal microflora at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

In addition to general Optometry, Dr. LeSoltis specializes in pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy, and Sports Vision.

While we highly recommend that you make an appointment beforehand, we understand that sometimes making an appointment is not possible, so we also welcome walk-ins.
